Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that strengthens the tooth enamel and can help prevent cavities. The ingredients in fluoride have been shown to destroy bacteria and rebuild tooth structure. Fluoride can even reverse early tooth decay!

While tap water often contains fluoride, your child may drink bottled or filtered water which does not. In these cases, children over 6 months of age may require a fluoride supplement.

How do we do it?

We paint fluoride on your child’s teeth as a varnish using a small brush
The process does not require shots or drills. It’s quick and painless
Your child should not eat, drink, or rinse for 30 minutes following application
Fluoride treatment may be repeated every 3, 6, or 12 months
Fluoride is often a part of your child’s dental checkup and cleaning
